Theme: Van Mahotsav-one with nature
As part of the Global Exchange Action Plan, a lively video conference on Van Mahotsav connected Birla High School and Bal Bharati Public School in a celebration of trees and sustainability. The session began with a warm welcome and friendly ice-breakers, allowing students to share personal reflections on the value of trees. This meaningful exchange fostered environmental awareness and strengthened inter-school bonds through shared learning and cultural appreciation.
National Sports Day: On National Sports Day, students honoured Major Dhyan Chand’s legacy through “Play the Indian Way,” engaging in traditional games like Kho Kho, Kabaddi, and Carrom. The celebration promoted fitness, teamwork, and cultural pride, making physical activity both joyful and meaningful. The partner school shared the commonly played sports in their country. They also tried playing few of our traditional games like Kabaddi.
Theme: Wellness Wonders – Young minds exploring health together.
1. INTERNATIONAL Yoga Day: Students of Class II celebrated International Yoga Day with nature-inspired poses and Warli art, blending wellness, creativity, and cultural learning. The event promoted SDG 3 while nurturing mindfulness, friendship, and joyful connections with nature and peers. The partner school also tried out a few yogas in animal poses.
Theme: Buddies Beyond Borders: We are different, but we are friends.
‘Hello! New Friend’ was an activity through which Class I students made a portrait of themselves and wrote their name below it using playdough. They also students greeted their new buddies and expressed their excitement about the collaboration, speaking in English, Hindi, and Bengali. The students of Kun Shan Elementary School also shared their own greetings in their native language, marking a joyful and warm beginning to this cross-cultural exchange.
In celebration of World Nature Conservation Day, children embraced the beauty of nature through art and exploration. Each child brought a real flower with its stem and leaves to create personalised greeting cards, embedding conservation messages like “Nature is a gift, handle with care.” These nature-inspired cards will be sent to our global exchange friends as a gesture of environmental commitment. Khaitan School shared vibrant glimpses of activities based on friendship, teamwork, and kindness.
Theme: From Our Class to the World – Growing Green Together
On International Plastic Bag Free Day, the UKG students formed a Plastic-Free Squad and walked around the school collecting plastic bags. They encouraged others to make sustainable choices like using paper, cloth, or jute bags. As a thoughtful gesture, they gifted their handcrafted paper bags, which they decorated in their craft class, to the support staff, spreading awareness through kind action. Choithram School shared pictures of their students celebrating International Plastic Bag Free Day.
