NOTICE
Birla High School
1 Moira Street, Kolkata 700017

Dear Parents,

Birla High School is pleased to propose a unique and enriching educational opportunity for students of Classes X and XI - a 5 Day Study Tour to the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), tentatively scheduled for May 2026 / early June 2026.

NISM is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India(SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute undertakes extensive capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and standards of India’s securities markets.

This proposed visit is designed to build early awareness and appreciation of financial markets and financial literacy among our students. As many of our students are already being introduced to capital market concepts through the NSE SMART platform, this immersive exposure will serve as a meaningful extension of their classroom learning.

A visit to SEBI, the apex regulatory authority of India’s securities markets and subject to approval and regulatory permissions, would be a particularly prestigious opportunity. No school in India has been allowed to visit the SEBI campus at Patalganga (Navi Mumbai). Securing such an exposure would therefore be a rare and valuable learning experience for our students.

Key Highlights of the Study Tour:

• 3-day immersive learning experience at NISM’s state-of-the-art Patalganga campus (near
Navi Mumbai)
• Hands-on training at the Simulated Trading Lab (equity, futures & options, commodities –
live simulated trades)
• Interaction with experienced faculty and market professionals
• Exposure to career opportunities in securities markets
• Visit to SEBI / NSE / BSE / Depositories (subject to availability and regulatory
permissions)
• South Mumbai educational tour
• Participation certificate for all students
• NISM welcome kit

Accommodation & Logistics:

• The travel logistics will be planned by our tour operator either by air/train as per the
majority
• Accommodation arrangements as per norms on triple sharing basis
• Food included (breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea breaks during sessions)

• Pick-up and drop from nearest airport/railway station included in the programme package
• Faculty members from Birla High School will be accompanying the students
• Probable dates for the visit : (Friday) 29th May, 2026 subject to availability of tickets and permission

The programme is designed for a cohort of approximately 40 students to ensure meaningful engagement and close supervision.

This initiative aligns with the school’s vision of equipping students with practical, experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom and fostering financial awareness at an early stage.

We request you to kindly give your consent for your ward to participate in this proposed educational tour. A detailed itinerary, cost structure and travel plan will be shared upon receiving an encouraging response from parents.

Kindly submit your consent by filling up the google form, the link of which is given below and submit it by Wednesday, 25th February, 2026 to enable us to plan and confirm the visit.

We look forward to your support in enabling our students to benefit from this first-of-its-kind exposure to India’s securities markets ecosystem.

Thank you,
