The students of Class 2D conducted a Special Assembly on Gandhi Jayanti on 31st October with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.
The assembly began with a captivating act where a student, dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, walked onto the stage accompanied by his followers, echoing the powerful slogan “British Quit India!”
Following this, the students shared insightful facts and anecdotes about the life of Gandhiji, highlighting his simplicity, determination, and contributions to India’s freedom struggle. A melodious song dedicated to Gandhiji was then presented by the class. The performance was followed by a touching Hindi poem, which beautifully portrayed Gandhiji’s deep love for the nation and his dream of a peaceful India.
Adding further meaning to the assembly, a group of students came forward to share five important teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, inspiring everyone to practice non-violence, honesty, equality, self-reliance, and simple living for all.
The assembly concluded with a vibrant dance performance, symbolizing joy, freedom, and the enduring relevance of Gandhiji. Finally, Gandhiji (the student in costume) addressed the audience, reminding everyone to imbibe his values in daily life to create a better and more harmonious society.
The event was both educational and inspiring, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of pride and a deeper appreciation for the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
