The students of Class 1 B presented a special assembly titled ‘Small Acts, Big Hearts,’ which explored core values through a creative treasure hunt theme. The program opened with a song on kindness and good habits, followed by a skit where student guides and explorers discovered that true treasure lies in moral character rather than material wealth. Through sequential dramatic scenes, the assembly highlighted key virtues, including offering first-aid assistance to an injured friend, sharing food, picking up plastic waste from the floor, and helping elders carry heavy bags. The event concluded with a lively dance performance, a collective pledge to be kind and helpful, and expressions of gratitude to teachers.
This assembly aligns closely with NEP 2020 by using art-integrated, experiential learning to foster socio-emotional development and moral grounding. The practical scenarios demonstrated core life skills such as empathy, prosocial sharing, environmental stewardship, and respect for elders. Additionally, the performance supported Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through physical care, SDG 4 (Quality Education) via holistic early learning, and SDG 11 & 12 (Sustainable Communities and Responsible Consumption) through community cleanliness and responsible waste management.
