Special Assembly - Independence Day by Class II A
On 13th August, Class IIA presented a vibrant and heartwarming Independence Day Special Assembly that celebrated the spirit of patriotism and unity. The programme commenced with a melodious and soulful song that beautifully captured the essence of brotherhood among Indians. The children, through their eloquent and heartfelt speeches, conveyed the true meaning of independence.
The assembly came alive with students dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who spread inspiring messages of peace, harmony, determination, perseverance, and the courage to differentiate between right and wrong. Adding to the cultural richness, the boys recited evocative poems in Hindi and Bengali, highlighting the deep-rooted spirit of unity in diversity.
Special Assembly- Janmashtami by students of LKG
On the occasion of Janmashtami, the students of Lower KG at Birla High School participated in a series of engaging activities to celebrate the festival. A special assembly titled “Janmashtami Delights” was presented on 14th August 2025. The programme included a short skit depicting Lord Krishna’s playful mischief and childhood, followed by a lively dance performance.
To add to the festive spirit, all students of Lower KG wore Krishna crowns decorated with paper peacock feathers, which they crafted themselves. In the art class, the children drew Krishna’s favourite items – the butter pot and flute – as part of their creative expression.
An interactive session was also conducted, beginning with a vibrant picture talk where images of baby Krishna, his butter pot, flute, and friends were displayed. This was followed by a simple and expressive narration of the story of little Krishna stealing butter and playing joyfully with his friends.
The celebration successfully combined storytelling, performance, art, and creativity, providing the young learners with a joyful and memorable festive experience.

Birla High School successfully hosted the 15th edition of its biennial interschool fest, Odyssey 2025 on 25th and 26th July.

Author Interaction session with Master Samriddh Chatterjee
In a delightful interactive session, students of Classes IV and V had the opportunity to meet 12-year-old author Master Samridh Chatterjee from Kolkata, who has already published two books—An Indian Kid in Japan and The Lockdown Life of the Indian Kid. Samridh shared the story behind his writing journey, inspired by his time in Japan and reflections during the lockdown, and encouraged students to read and start journaling. Through a vibrant presentation, he offered cultural insights and personal anecdotes that captivated the audience. The event concluded with the exciting news of his upcoming third book based on his travels to Egypt, leaving students inspired and eager.
