    Inter House Elocution

    The Inter House Elocution competition was held on 28th July, 2016 at the Vidya Mandir auditorium. There were three  groups  A,B and C comprising of class 6, class 7 & 8 and class 9 & 10 respectively.  The theme for English for class 6 was “ Humour” , for  class 7 & 8 was “Adventurous “ and theme for class 9 & 10 was  20th and 21st century poets. There was  no particular theme for Hindi and Bengali elocution but for Bengali (class 6,7and8) elocution the theme for class  9 & 10 was ‘society and social issues’. 

    The results were as follows:

    HINDI GROUP A:

    1ST – Harsh Vardhan Pandey (6E)   Pratap house

    HINDI GROUP B

    1ST--  Akshat Kedia  (8A)  Gandhi House

    All participating students received certificates and prizes were awarded to the winners.

     

    JUNE 2016

    Inter House Debate

    The Inter School Debate, which occupies an important place in the school calendar, was held on 22nd June 2016.The competition was divided into two categories

    Category A had students from Classes 9 and 10 debating on 

    “Democracy is the best form of government”.

     The best speaker from the category was to Arinjoy Banerjee of (Gandhi House)

    Category B had competitions from Classes 11 and 12 debating on Social networking sites make an individual more unsociable”.

    – The Best Speaker from this category was Soham Chakraborty of (Shivaji House)

     

    OCTOBER 2015

    Inter House Quiz

    The Inter House quiz 2015 was held on 5th October 2015  , The quiz conducted by Kinshuk Biswas, an ex-student of the school, was held in two halves. In the middle school (Classes 6 to 8) Gandhi House emerged as the winner and the best quizzer was Ronit Basu of Gandhi House.

    In the senior school (Classes IX to X) Tagore House emerged the winner and the best quizzers were – Rohin Sengupta and Debjyoti Samaddar from Tagore House.

     

    SEPTEMBER 2015

    Gaming, Animation, Robotics and Programming Session

    On 28th September, 2015 an informative session on game designing, animation, robotics and programming was organized for the students of Class X in the AVR.

    There were short video presentations on the applications of computer programming, robotics, animation and gaming.

     

    AUGUST 2015

    Science Exhibition

    A Science Exhibition was organized by the students of Classes VI to VIII on 20th of August 2015 with tremendous zeal and excitement. Students prepared models of hydraulic bridge, broom cum vacuum cleaner, electromagnetic train, solar boat, electrical loop game, bubbles with dry ice, smoke kings, respiratory system in humans, sprinkler system for irrigation and water purification model.

    Art World

    “Creative Masters” – a National Level drawing contest organized by ICICI Bank was held in the school on 13th August 2015. The students were given a choice of topics from “Our Nation”, “Family and Friends” and “Our Plant”.
