Circular to Parents for Annual Day
The Annual Function and Prize Distribution will be held at 5.30 p.m. on 9th May 2013 (Thursday) for classes VIII, IX & X (2013-2014) and 10th May 2013 for classes VI, VII, XII (2013-2014) and class XII (2012-2013) at the Vidya Mandir Auditorium, 1 Moira Street, Kolkata 700 017.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1. All students taking part in the concert should be in School at 3.00 p.m.in their School uniform.
2. Prize winners of -
* Present classes VIII , IX & X (i.e. last year’s VII, VIII & IX ) and are to report to Mr.R.M.Dhur in the Senior School Library at 4.00 p.m) on 9th May 2013
* Present classes VII &XII (i.e. last year’s VI & XI) and last year’s XII are to report to Mr.R.M.Dhur in the senior school library at 4.00 p.m.on 10th May 2013.
3. Parents are requested not to take their wards home before the Prize Distribution is over.
4. Prizes will be awarded not only on the basis of merit but also for the student’s application throughout the year. Please do come to encourage the children.
5. Students are required to look after their articles they have brought from home and must remember to carry them back after the concert is over.
6. Students who are taking part in either the Concert or the Prize Distribution should carry their tiffin and water bottles in a labelled bag.
7. Parents are requested not to bring children under 5years in the auditorium.
8. Please be seated in the auditorium by 5.15 p.m.
9. The Musical and the prize distribution would take one hour each.
Principal
N.B. Plastic bottle/ packet and eatables are not allowed inside the auditorium.
Mobile phones should be kept in silent mode in the auditorium.

Schedule for the Dress Rehearsal & Annual Day Programme:-
8.05.13 (Wednesday):
Dress Rehearsal from 12 noon in the Vidya Mandir Auditorium.
Classes VI, VII & VIII– Non-working day (only the participants to report to school at
8 a.m. and will leave at 2 p.m.).The participants to move to their respective rooms as per the room allotment and report to their teachers-in-charge.
Class IX will report to School at 11.45 am to watch the musical. They are to be seated in class VIII classrooms from 11.45 to 12 noon. Attendance would be taken by their class teacher/co teacher who would escort them to the auditorium. By 12.10 p.m. they are to be seated in the auditorium. Dispersal for them is around 1.10 p.m.
Class X and XII will have school from 7.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch break for them is from 10.40-11.20 am. They will watch the musical from 12.20 pm and should be seated in the auditorium by 12.10 p.m.Normal classes will resume after the musical.
All Class teachers or co teachers to escort them to the auditorium.
Dispersal is at 2 pm
9.05.13(Thursday & 10.05.13(Friday)
Non-working day for students. All participants to report to school by 3 p.m The students to move to their respective rooms as per the room allotment and report to their teachers- in-charge
The prize winners are to report at 4:00 p.m. to the Senior School Library in proper school uniform with tie and well-cleaned shoes.
Dispersal for all students from the Prayer Hall after the entire programme at
7:30 p.m.

Dear Sir(s) / Madam(s),
You may please recall our letter dated 30-8-2012, sent to you all by the School for your awareness and compliance with the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India for compliance with the guidelines of the said Court, as received from the local Police Station as regards “dos” on hiring of Pool Cars.
The copy of the same is again being circulated along with this letter through our School website for due compliance with the said order by one and all amongst you.
Needless to mention here that you are all aware that our school does not run any bus service for students not for staff, as well as exercising any form of control over private vehicles hired by you is beyond our jurisdiction.
Dear Parents,
We forward herewith a copy of letter dated 6th August 2012 received from the Officer-in-Charge, Shakespeare Sarani Police Station, Kolkata, regarding Supreme Court Order pertaining to Pool Cars/ Buses carrying school children which is self explanatory.
You are requested to ensure that the Pool Car(s) / Bus(es) you have engaged to carry your ward(s) to and/or from School follow the given instructions.
